The Process

What Happens at Your Appointment

01

Choose & Book Your Treatment

Choose a treatment from the menu and book a time. Every appointment includes your consultation — we sit down together, go through a thorough health screening questionnaire and physical assessment, and confirm your treatment is right for you. There's no rush.

02

Arrive & Settle In

Follow the driveway to the separate entrance at the side of the property. The treatment room is private — just you and me. There is no waiting room, no other clients. Take a moment to settle in and ask anything on your mind.

03

Your Treatment

Once your assessment is complete and consent confirmed, your IV is placed and treatment begins. The infusion time depends on your treatment, and is included in your appointment time. You'll be comfortable, monitored throughout, and free to relax with your phone or just the harbour view.

04

Observation & Departure

After your infusion there is a brief observation period to ensure you feel well before you leave. You can drive and resume normal activities immediately. Amy will brief you on what to expect in the hours following treatment.

Preparation

Before You Arrive

  • Have a light snack before your appointment — avoid arriving on an empty stomach.
  • Ensure you are well hydrated beforehand (water, not coffee).
  • Wear comfortable clothing — your forearm will need to be accessible for the IV.
  • Complete your health screening questionnaire before you arrive (sent with your booking confirmation).
  • You are welcome to bring your phone, headphones, or a book — appointments run from 90 minutes to 3 hours depending on your treatment.

After Treatment

Aftercare

You can drive and resume your normal activities immediately after your appointment. Most clients feel well — often noticeably well — within a few hours of treatment.

I brief you on what to expect for your specific treatment before you leave. Keep well hydrated for the rest of the day and take it easy if you feel the urge to.

If you have any concerns after leaving, contact me directly — details will be in your aftercare notes.

Questions Answered

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions a nurse will answer directly — including the ones most clinics quietly sidestep. If you have a question that isn’t here, get in touch.

Safety & Medical

Is IV therapy safe?

We take the safety of our clients very seriously. To ensure IV therapy is safe and right for you, each individual completes a thorough health screening questionnaire and physical assessment prior to beginning treatment. Your infusion staff are regulated by the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003, the Medicines Act 1981 and Medicines Regulations 2002.

Who shouldn't have IV therapy?

To ensure your safety, IV therapy should be avoided if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a known G6PD deficiency, have a history of chronic kidney or heart disease, have an active systemic illness (cold, flu, or infection), or have a known allergic reaction to components of a particular IV therapy. These are discussed during your consultation and assessment, before any IV is placed.

What qualifications does Amy have?

Amy is a registered nurse with 15 years of experience working in acute clinical settings ranging from emergency care, intensive care, postoperative care, research and acute pain management. You are in safe hands.

What's in the drips?

Due to advertising law, we are not legally permitted to specifically state the components of each formulation online. Please enquire directly to learn more and to discuss whether a particular IV therapy is suitable for you.

What if I feel unwell during treatment?

You will be closely monitored for the entire duration of your IV therapy. If you feel unwell at any point, Amy will assess you further and decide whether to pause or stop treatment. Your safety is the first consideration — always.

Do I need a GP referral?

For most IV infusions, a GP appointment is not required. However, some infusions do require GP referral or recent blood test results prior to being eligible. Hebe’s Divine Infusion requires a negative G6PD blood test result before treatment. Anything else will be discussed during your consultation and assessment.

Practical

How long does a session take?

Most appointments are 90 minutes. The Ambrosial Blueprint is 120 minutes and The Ambrosial Blueprint Supreme is 180 minutes. Your appointment time covers everything: your consultation, a physical assessment, the infusion itself, and an observation period once treatment is finished.

Can I drive afterwards?

Yes — you can resume your usual activities straight away after your appointment.

What should I eat or drink beforehand?

Have a light snack and ensure you are well hydrated before your appointment. Avoid arriving on an empty stomach.

How often can I have IV therapy?

Treatment intervals vary depending on the IV therapy and the individual, but generally you are able to receive IV therapy every one to three months as needed. Amy will advise what is appropriate for you at your appointment.

How is IV therapy different from oral supplements?

IV therapy allows nutrients and supplements to be administered directly into your bloodstream at precise doses, which ensures higher absorption and bioavailability for your health. With oral supplements, absorption depends on many factors — gut health, metabolism, food interactions — and you may not receive the full benefit. IV therapy bypasses those variables entirely.

First Visit

Is there a consultation before my treatment?

Yes — every appointment begins with a consultation, and it is included in your appointment time and price. IV therapy works differently for different people, so before any IV is placed you will complete a thorough health screening questionnaire and physical assessment with Amy. It is not a formality — it is the foundation of safe, personalised care.

What happens at my appointment?

We'll meet, you'll complete a health screening questionnaire, and Amy will carry out a physical assessment and confirm the treatment you booked is right for you. Once you're cleared and consent is confirmed, your IV is placed and your infusion begins, followed by a short observation period. It all happens within your booked appointment time.

How do I find the clinic?

Haus of Hebe is located at 301 Kohimarama Road, St Heliers, Auckland 1071. The treatment room has a separate entrance accessible via the driveway — you do not enter through the main house. There is a dedicated parking space in the driveway.

Bookings & Policy

What is the cancellation and deposit policy?

A $50 deposit is paid when you book to secure your appointment. Cancellations with more than 24 hours notice receive a full refund of the deposit. Cancellations within 24 hours of your appointment, and no-shows, forfeit the $50 deposit — nothing further is charged. This protects Amy's time as a solo practitioner.

How do I pay?

The $50 deposit is paid online by card (via Stripe) when you book. The balance is paid at your appointment, once your treatment is complete, by cash, card, or bank transfer.

Can I buy a voucher for someone else?

Gift vouchers are coming soon. If you would like to give the gift of a treatment in the meantime, get in touch via the contact form below and we will arrange it for you.
